Emotional end of the journey The Vuelta 2025 this afternoon-evening from IFEMA Municipal Palace (Madrid). La Vuelta 2025 in detail
La Vuelta 25 consists of 21 stages and will cover a total distance of 3,138 km. From August 23 to September 14, 2025.

Overall, the 2025 route makes a special nod to tradition, paying homage to some of La Vuelta’s historic ports. The peloton will once again face some of the climbs that have been the hallmark of its nine decades of racing. Morredero, Cerler, Valdezcaray, Andorra, Angliru, La Farrapona wave World Ball. And in this view of tradition it also stands out Valladolidthe city that hosted the first finish line in the history of La Vuelta in 1935 and that, as a tribute, will host a decisive individual time trial with four days left until the finish on September 14.
An edition of the Vuelta that the top leader of the race, Javier Guillén, summed up in these words at the end of the presentation event: “This is La Vuelta, in the end we have DNA, we have a Vuelta that looks to the sky and not to land. We know what people want and where competitiveness has 21 stages and we have to compete in all 21. Spain is a territory that allows us to do stages of all kinds and we have to take advantage of it. I know it’s not a Vuelta for sprinters, in the end you want to be there but it’s a bit difficult.
