Pep Guardiola Manchester City coach, insists that the solution to improve his team’s results is to recover the players they have injured.
City agreed this Saturday against Aston Villa ninth loss in the last twelve games, the one who left the ‘Sky Blues’ was sixth position of the Premier League, and could be overtaken by Bournemouth, Fulham and Brighton today.
“A better result may come and it may not. It depends on us. The solution is let the players return. Now we only have one healthy center back and that makes it more difficult. We will try again in the next game and we will not think too much beyond that“said Guardiola, who was asked about whether there are reasons beyond injuries for the bad moment they are going through.
“Of course there are many other reasons. They scored goals they never scored before and we didn’t score goals they did before.. Football is not the only reason. There are many reasons. Aston Villa is a team that performs well in Champions and on premier. It’s not an easy stadium to get to. Last season we won the Premier, but we lost here. We have to be positive and I have a lot of confidence in these guys. We have to make a way, step by step and eventually we will come back.”
