Marcelino’s removal of Unai López was one of the red-and-white surprises of the past preseason. The Asturian coach has selected four specific media since he arrived in Bilbao to replace Gaizka Garitano. Dani García, Vencedor, Vesga and the player from San Sebastian shared minutes in the so -called double pivot.
None of them exceeded 2,000 minutes of League competition. Dani García, who played 27 games and started 21 of them, played in 1992, Vesga (30-20) 1,723, Vencedor (28-19) 1,701 and Unai López (26-15) 1,419.
The late departure of Rayo Vallecano saved more minutes for his three teammates including Zarraga and even Petxa as sporadic alternatives in the wide zone of average. The winner, in this way, ended the League with 2,315 minutes lying in 34 games (29-5), Dani García reached 2,189 (27/5) in 32 games, Vesga reached 1,380 (17 /15) also in 32 games and Zarraga remained at 1,154 (8/23) with 31 commitments, but not everyone was playing at center.
Unai López, for his part, played 1,344 minutes with Rayo distributed over 27 games (13-14).
