The name of the Galician playmaker Iker Losada is sounding in some media as a candidate to leave the Real Betis loaned in the January market, because he does not count much for Manuel Pellegrini, who left him on the list for Conference and he only used it in six starting games – out of a total of fourteen -, three in the League, two in the Cup and one in the preview of European competition.
Iker Losada’s mind, however, does not cross the idea of a change of scenery. “I’m not giving up now, not really.”. I don’t have the minutes that any footballer would like, but I am super happy because I know that I am growing, working and improving,” he said in an interview with Faro de Vigo, where he is spending the Christmas holidays with his family.
Losada insists on the idea of not leaving Betis: “Personally, I don’t think about it. I’m very happy there in Seville, I want to keep working and I want to keep counting when the coach needs me. They trust me and I have a contract until 2029. My only mentality now is to grow within Betis and return that trust. I can only think of Betis because I fit perfectly there in terms of playing style and way of doing things,” said the Galician footballer.
Losada now has tough competition in the position, with Isco, Lo Celso or Pablo Fornals himself making up for itwhich is formed by their demarcation. “It’s not easy for anyone to join Betis from the Second Division and play all the minutes they want. But I’m not going to throw in the towel because it’s not for me.”
