The Diamond League announced the list of financial prizes for 2025

The Diamond Leaguethe world athletics circuit, has announced that for the 2025 season the amount of financial prizes for athletes in all disciplines will increase.

According to the organization, the main prizes will increase and there will be more money for the competitors who occupy the lowest positions.

In most events, athletes will continue to receive up to 10,000 dollars (about 9,600 euros at the exchange rate) in League meetings and up to 30,000 (about 28,800 euros) in the grand final, and in 2025 a select number of Diamond+ Disciplines.

Of these the top prize will reach 20,000 dollars (about 19,200 euros) in different meetings, in two men’s and two women’s events, and 50,000 in the final (about 48,000 euros), in four women’s and four men’s events. Each meeting will announce the same in the first half of the year.

In all events the money will increase (in some cases even double) for athletes who finish below second place. Those who finish between ninth and twelfth will also receive fixed prizes, which will be equal in terms of gender.

The 2025 Diamond League will make stops in Xiamen, Shanghai, Doha, Rabat, Rome, Oslo, Stockholm, Paris, Eugene, Monaco, London, Silesia, Lausanne and Brussels before concluding in Zurich.
