The Board of Directors of the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation (RFEC)exercising its statutory powers, has made two important appointments for the development of its new technical-sports organization chart. José Almagro will be the new national technical director of the RFEC and Javier Ruiz de Larrinaga will act as the national coach of men’s and women’s cyclocross.
Jose Almagrowith a degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, will be the head of the sports area of the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation in the next Olympic cycle and will be in charge of designing the sports activity of the RFEC and coordinating the work of all national selectors. Almagro, associated with cycling since his childhood, is a professional road racer and has extensive experience after being general secretary of the Madrid Cycling Federation since 2007.
“Assuming the position of technical director of RFEC is a challenge that I face with great enthusiasm and with the security to carry out the work with guarantees thanks to my past background and the great team that we will have. The my first intention is to put myself at the service of the federation and all national cycling to listen to technicians and cyclists of all modalities and learn about their concerns so that we can continue to move forward together. I want to thank José Vicioso and the Board of Directors for trusting me to occupy this position, as well as the previous technical management of the RFEC for the excellent work done.
