Ceylin Alvarado, last World Cup winner, will compete in Benidorm

The Dutch Ceylin del Carmen Alvaradocurrent champion of Cyclocross World Cupwill take the exam on January 19 at Benidormas confirmed this Thursday by the organization.

Del Carmen Alvarado joins two other great stars of women’s cyclocross who have already confirmed their presence in the elite women’s competition, the World ChampionFem van Empel, and Marianne Vos, legend of the cycling world.

The Dutchwoman of Dominican origin, a runner for the Fenix-Deceuninck team, decided the title in her favor last year in Benidorm and became World and European Champion in 2020, when she emerged as an absolute revelation.

“He is one of the best specialists in history”said Pascual Momparler, head of Momparler Cycling and organizer of the UCI Cyclocross World Cup–Benidorm Costa Blanca.

“We are very proud to have such a talented and charismatic cyclist. “His presence is the umpteenth demonstration that a cyclocross event in Benidorm and the Valencian Community serves as an attraction for the best athletes,” he added.

This season he is one of the strongest cyclists, with at least nine victories, including two World Cup events in Zonhoven and Namur.
