In the first week of the race, Pau had some mechanical problems that left him out of the fight for the title. So, after the first 5 stages, he was 6th, 2 hours behind the head. But the second week he went to see her. He won one stage and achieved several other stage podiums in his category. And finally, in stage 10, he took advantage of a problem from one of his rivals, Paul Spieringswho was left on the podium, to take his place in third place which he did not let go of.
