Ugly behavior of Vinicius in the Mestalla stand

Date:

Vinicius was sent off this Friday in Valencia-Real Madrid (1-2) for the second time in his Mestalla career. The history between Valencian and Brazilian fans goes back a long way, so one can expect a hostile reception from the crowd towards the Brazilian, and as always, some signature gestures.

Vini was sent off in the 79th minute for a straight red card after hitting Dimitrievski in the face. VAR notified Soto Grado and after reviewing the action sent off the Brazilian, who had to be restrained by members of the coaching staff and several teammates to prevent things from escalating. He seems to want to face the referee.

However, Vini’s fever came from earlier. In fact, he has a habit of playing too excited, something that gets him down and gets people talking as much about what a great player he is as about all the controversies he gets into. During the match he had several exchanges in the Mestalla stand, in one of which the fans could be heard chanting “dumb, dummy”, words to which he responded with an ugly gesture. He put them into second gear, making two gestures with his hand. A common practice for him, as he had already done it weeks ago in Vallecas, and he repeated it against Valencia in another season.
