From theory directly to practice! In Putzleinsdorf, respiratory protection wearers were completing the “fin test” when the siren sounded. For the second time in one day, a car caught fire. Cause: once unknown. The good news: there were no injuries.
The first operation took place shortly after noon. On Amesedter Strasse a car left the road and crashed into a tree; the 18-year-old driver lost control on the snowy road. Apparently flammable liquid had escaped and caught fire. When firefighters from Amesedt, Pfarrkirchen and Putzleinsdorf arrived, the car was completely engulfed in flames. “Fortunately, there were no people left in the car,” said the fire brigade, who immediately started extinguishing the fire using breathing apparatus. The young driver was unharmed.
New alarm after five o’clock
About five hours later the siren sounded again. Another car burned, again in Putzleinsdorf. But apparently it didn’t catch fire by accident. Because some comrades were in the fire station to carry out the annual “fin test” for respiratory protection, the fully occupied fire truck immediately left for the operational address,” wrote the FF Putzleinsdorf.
The wreck went to the owner
The respiratory protection team immediately began fighting the fire; they were supported by the respiratory protection teams of the Hofkirchen fire brigade. And after about an hour and a half everything was over and the car owner was able to take over the wreck.
