The day before, 3,557 new infections with the corona virus were reported in Austria. Five other people infected with the virus died.
Compared to the previous week, 9965 new infections were reported on the same day. The number of patients in hospitals is also decreasing.
In the normal wards, the number of patients decreased by 167 (total 2035 occupied beds). The number of patients in intensive care decreased by nine (total of 119 occupied beds). In total, there are 2154 corona patients in hospitals.
The data status of the epidemiological reporting system (EMS) related to the corona pandemic in Austria is updated daily in the afternoon on the dashboard of AGES (Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety). The data reflects what happens between midnight and midnight of the respective event day before wider.
