World number 4 Collin Morikawa He is one of three golfers who announced this Sunday their withdrawal from the next Farmers Insurance Open.
Morikawa joins the Dane Nicolai Hojgaard already Tyler McCumber as absent from the list of 156 participants at Torrey Pines. They will be replaced by Wesley Bryan, Hayden Springer and SH Kim, respectively. No official reason was given for any of their absences. The news came a day after world number 2, Xander Schauffeleis pulling out of the San Diego event due to a “medical issue.”
The Farmers Insurance Open will be held from Wednesday to Saturday of this coming week. The contest was moved a day earlier than usual so as not to overlap with the NFL conference finals next Sunday.
