There is still snow on many Tyrolean peaks. Nevertheless, a few holidaymakers (25 and 28) from Finland wanted to make a demanding mountain tour from Finland in the Rofan Mountains. However, the duo was completely insufficiently equipped.
The two Finnen-A 25-year-old and her 28-year-old friend started their accommodation in Münster to the Rofanbahn in the morning. With this they drove to the mountain station. “From there, the two hikers followed a GPS track downloaded from the internet in the direction of Krahnsattel and then on a mushroom, partially covered with snow-covered steep slope to the top of the so-called Clesida at 2080 meters,” the police say.
The end station was on top
The duo reached the top, but it was no longer possible to think of an independent descent. The holidaymakers were completely insufficient and wore unsuitable sneakers in front of the site. Because they no longer trusted the descent, they put the emergency call.
The Kramsach Mountain Rescue had to move to free the two walkers from their emergency situations. They helped them to return to the Rofanbahn Mountain Station via the promotion route. From there, the unharmed couple drove back into the valley with the gondola.
