Dangerous bite attack in Bruck an der Leitha (Lower Austria): Young mother and her child were attacked by two large dogs on Friday. A brave witness could have prevented worse.
A young mother was walking through town with her child and the small family dog when suddenly a large dog ran towards her. Because the animal had previously slipped from its owner’s collar and the owner – who also had a second dog with him – made no attempt to get his four-legged friend back.
Instead, the roughly 40-year-old man allowed himself as his dog bit the family’s four-legged friend. Explosive: According to eyewitnesses, the child was also in danger, his face level with the attacker.

When a brave passerby stepped in, the second dog broke free and bit. “I was able to bring the family and the injured dog to safety in the nearby bank hall. The employees immediately locked the automatic door,” says the modest hero.
He wanted to confront the dog owner, the police had already been warned. But instead of an apology, there were wild insults. Patrol officers were eventually able to stop the man known to authorities in neighboring Bruckneudorf, Burgenland – he was reported.
