Las Palmas Sports Union already has its first winter signing to improve its defence. Diego Martínez’s team has been boosted by the signing of Andy Pelmard, 24 years old. It arrives on loan until June although there is a non-obligatory purchase option.
The Clermont Foot defender was on loan at Lecce, but a few days ago that loan was canceled and he has now arrived at Las Palmas. The cancellation of the move happened when he was arrested for drunk driving.
The right back was known for being very promising in his early days at Nice and then for his role at Basel in the Conference. Now he is looking to relaunch his sports career in Gran Canaria.
Las Palmas described him as a “quick and aggressive” side
In the official statement of his signing, UD Las Palmas assured that he is known “for being a very fast, aggressive and versatile back who can occupy four positions of the defensive line.” In addition to being an Under-21 international in France, the new yellow player has also played for Nice (39 matches) and FC Basel (105 matches), with participation in various competitions such as of the UEFA Europa League, UEFA Conference League, Ligue 1, Super League and Serie A.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, he will undergo a medical examination at the Perpetuo Socorro Hospital and at 10:30 in the morning he will be presented to the press room of Ciudad Deportiva.
