The British pilot turned 38 on January 7 and to celebrate he chose a paradisiacal destination: Antarctica. Lewis Hamilton explained to his networks that he chose the cold and isolated continent with the aim of clearing his mind and thinking about his future in the sport, after a poor last season in Formula 1.
The pilot takes advantage of the relaxing trip, where he is with a group of friends, to prepare physically with his mind set on the upcoming next season.
He also managed to surprise his followers with a video where he runs on ice accompanied by some sea lions and penguins. “Look at these views. I’m beyond grateful. It’s great to start the new year in the best place I’ve ever been,” he commented in one of the recordings.
