The 30 -year -old defender from Bilbao Unai Bustinza was the third reinforcement of Malaga in the current transfer market after arriving for free after his time in Leganés and commit to the Andalusian club until 2025.
Málaga pointed out this Saturday in a statement that Bustinza he has played for the Madrid team the last seven seasons and his position is mostly center back, although he can also play as a winger.
The new Malaguista reinforcement, with over a hundred games in the First Division, left the Athletic Club youth academy and he has been one of Leganés ’most important players since he signed for the Madrid team, where he was promoted to Primera in 2016.
He was relegated to Second two seasons ago and remained at Leganés in the final seasons, 2020/21 and 2021/22, where he accumulated thirty League games and three Cup games, serving as one of the captains.
After the signing of the goalkeeper Queen of Manolo and the right side Juanfran Moreno, Unai Bustinza was third of the players coming to Málaga, a team that will start the preseason next Monday with the Bilbao player already in the group.
