Tiger Woods on Tuesday announced that he had suffered a serious injury that would prevent him from defeating the Augusta Masters next April, a contest in which he hoped to return after a long inactive, and seriously compromised his participation in other contests throughout this year. Woods confirmed this on a note published on his social networks.
“As I started strengthening my training and home skills, I felt chronic pain in my left Achilles tendon, discovered that it was broken,” Tiger explained. “This morning, Dr. Charlton Stucken, from The Special Surgery Hospital of West Palm Beach, Florida, has made a minimally invasive reparation of Achilles Tendon for a breakdown,” he added.
The medical side signed by the doctor pointed out that “surgery has passed without problems and we expect a complete recovery.”
Tiger said that after passing the operating room, its recovery process begins immediately, perhaps in the long -term time that cannot reappear until 2026. “Now I have come home and plan to concentrate on my recovery and rehabilitation, thanks to all the support.”
