Bruno del Pino (Barcelona, 2006) is one of the great pearls of Spanish motor racing that we should not miss the track in 2025. On this weekend will be on F3 with MP Motorsport And it came from the most prepared. Has advice that little can boast when they The nephew of Pedro Martínez de la Rosa.
But as MD said to MD during preseason tests which means nothing. He runs just thinking of his name and surname. When we were talking to his truck in the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit, he reviewed the advice that Peter had given him but also the other big names were fixed to achieve his great dream: reaching a day at F1.
SENSATIONS TO YOUR FORT Formula 3?
Well, the fact is that in this new car is positive. We’re really trying a lot of things and it’s obviously a new car whose engineers and pilots have to adapt, find new sets and everything. So, well, these three days here in Barcelona are serving us a lot for it, find different types of aerodynamics, both aerodynamics and mechanical and then the truth is very fun and a car enjoyed by the voting because it has a pretty big dynamic loading
And debuts on a team like the MP, who already have a background in the lower categories, how is it important for you to work on a team with that experience?
Yes, after all, the motor racing team
It comes to Formula 3 after playing a good role in Eurocup, also with the MP, so what are the expectations and goals you have for this person of the debut?
Well, after all this is a great eurocup change: new car, new circuits, new tires, so it will be difficult and good. We started the first breed of the season in Melbourne, a circuit that I never became like most calendar competers. But well, expectations are always high, I know what I get and clearly have no purpose like that, but fighting for successes, fighting for podiums and also with a team like MP, I know it will achieve.
Tell us a little where your desire came from cars, for races …
Well, let’s see, Passion started everything on Fernando Alonso’s campus to find out English on the sun and I liked it. It wasn’t a longing like this, but I wanted to go on the weekend, they gave me a competition competition and came here to Lliçà to run on the weekend, which I started to compete with Pepe Martí, we met there in Lliçà. From there a little as he continued to like me, I saw that I was with agility, it was trained and because the desire there from there it developed
She is Pedro Martínez de la Rosa’s
No, I don’t care. Obviously I was a lucky one to be my uncle, but in reality I competed under my name and last name. So I was sitting in the car, it was the decision and the truth was that he helped me throughout my career for some time I didn’t know, especially at the beginning of my sporting career when I was a bit rookie but, the fact was that the pressure was like I didn’t have to be my uncle. Yes, he appreciates having someone like him beside me, who supports me and I’m trying to find my way.
What kind of advice gives you a debut on Formula 3?
He told me what it used to be. Keeping your head calm, trying to improve every day. But I also have a team, I not only have it with him, I have a team of junior professionals like MP Motorsport, like my sports team who is out of motorcycle that also guides me to improve every day. Not only does he give me advice, but also the help of a good staff.
And about Eurocup jump in Formula 3 What is the maximum difficulty of moving to one category or something else?
I believe that for example in Eurocup we have been lying on the Hankook tires that gave us the ability where and to keep more of a ‘push’ followed, then we will go along with the step, we are not 100% at first pushing. And I would say this is a great change, it has to be 100% at first twist, not having as much time as we have at Eurocup, to find a limit, because we only have the skill for about an hour, I don’t think that even if it comes in time, 50 minutes, where we have four laps, because the tire gives us more
I will also say that besides the race. We need to manage the tires in a different way from the one we manage to eurocup, and besides that the car is stronger and faster. Fun, this is a goal and I look comfortable in the car, but we need to improve some things.
And finally, how do you think you can change your life to be in a championship where you don’t stop traveling and it’s a lot of time? Not only in circuits, but also out of it …
After all, it’s not only in the circuit, when we travel we have ten career goals a year, compared to the eight I have in Eurocup, but it’s just that we have to work more, we have to travel more to Holland to go to the factory, talk to engineers … Then the sun -day life has changed a bit. But I’m very happy, because this is what I like and for me it’s a privilege to compete with this championship and have the experience of being a pilot formula 3. Hopefully in the future will have more luck and get the goals and reach Formula 1.
And your idols, what are they?
Well, idols like I don’t have, but I like Schumacher a lot, I like a lot, but I like the one I like is verstappen. I always say this and Alex Albon that is my favorite pilot, but as an idol is not, but hey, these are the pilots I like.
And besides Rafa Nadal as a Spanish athlete idol, not only me, but many Spaniards and many people in the world.
Well, you will be with some of these in the circuits, what does it represent for you?
Well, a pride, I’m not going to the pilot with them at the same session, at the moment, but it is a pride to approach them, that they are close to me, who they consider a bit, and to also give me more exposure not only for them, but for the world of motoring and all the best formulas 1.
Thank you Bruno and luck.
To you
