A Pinzgauer is accused of serious fraud. After the death of a friend, the 71-year-old would have written his will, including the fake signature. He almost had a family house of 400,000 euros. He will have to go to the Criminal Court next week.
It is a remarkable criminal case that took place in Saalfelden – and will be negotiated next Wednesday in the Salzburg Regional Court. According to the indictment of the Salzburg public prosecutor, a Pinzgau retirement (71) tried to cheat with a fake. Because of the last will of a deceased knowledge – who himself had no heirs – he focused on their property in the center of Saalfelden by the last will of a deceased person himself. Value: around 400,000 euros.
And the alleged fraud has almost been followed to anchor the “krone” information, the real estate had already been granted or answered by the court, as is said in the technical language. But other acquaintances of the deceased who got wind of it showed doubts. These also reached the police and the authorities. Only then did the whole thing come to light.
In the course of the investigation, the judiciary obtained an expert opinion to clarify the authenticity of the will. The expert recognized the fake. In the meantime, the transaction was stopped.
Idea from TV series?
It is not entirely clear when the suspect is said to have the document fake. According to the indictment, the crime is limited between January and July 2024. And as the “crown” of the residents of the local population, the 71-year-old should have the idea from a television series. In any case, the senior must be responsible for attempted serious fraud on March 19. In the case of a conviction, threatens between one and ten years in prison.
