The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has signed a 3,000 million dollar agreement with the US NBC chain for the restoration of the Salt Lake City 2034 Olympic Games and a winner of 2036.
The IOC said it would benefit from “Comcast investment in newly with -modern and innovative companies” in an agreement announced in surprise in the final weeks of Thomas Bach to the head of the Olympic organism.
The Tag -Host of 2036 has not yet been decided, with the interest shown by Olympic officials of countries such as India, Qatar, Türkiye, Hungary and Indonesia.
The NBC signed the latest Olympic rights agreement in 2014 covering every Tag -Heart game and winter games until 2032. That agreement, signed 11 years ago, was a major decision at the beginning of Bach’s presidency in the IOC that gained the financial future of the Olympic organism.
The new agreement with the United States rights is closed one week before the Bach successor was elected to an IOC meeting in Greece, March 20. “The media landscape is rapidly emerging and, associated with one of the leading media and technology companies around the world, we will make sure that US fans can survive the Olympic games,” Bach said.
The NBC has been a -broadcast in all Tag -Heart Olympics since 1988 and all winter since 2002 in Salt Lake City, that is, all games from Sydney 2000. A previous renewal in 2011 has ensured each of the games from 2014 to 2020 for 4,380 million dollars.
