Ana Peleteiro, European Triple Jump Champion, faced the World Cups of Nanjing (China), this weekend, under the “Renqueant” roof of one knee but “with great desire and many faiths” for taking the podium to collect a medal.
Peteteiro, 29, came to China with the aim of adding his third metal to a World Cup covered after Birmingham 2018 Bronzes and Glasgow 2024. He does this just two weeks after announcing the European European champion a second time.
“Adaptation is very good. I came a little scared because the other years in this area of the continent were worth me to adapt, as in Tokyo, but the reality of spaining in Spain was a good decision,” Peteteiro said, in statements released by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation.
“On the physical issues I was with my knee treating myself with the medical services of the Federation. I was fortunate that the Fisios were helping me reach my best but I asked and wanted to end the time to focus on recovery and tag -day but now I am eager, lots of faith, enjoying and calm,” he said.
