The players of the Croatian football club Dragovoljac were surprised today, in their fight against Dinamo in Zagreb, by appearing in the colors of the Ukrainian flag, yellow and blue. His usual starting shirt is black and the replacement is white.
According to Croatian portal RTL, this act by Dragovoljac to support Ukrainians in their fight against Russian aggression is the first of its kind in the world.
The shirts will be sold for 400 cribs (about 53 euros) to raise funds to help some 630 Ukrainian refugee families in Croatia to be processed by the Zagreb Red Cross, according to the source.
Another portal, 24sata, ensures that before the shirts are sold, Dragovoljac will play another three games with them.
On matchday 29 of the Croatian league, leader Dinamo Zagreb defeated Dragovoljac, below the table, 2-0.
