F1 GP Austria: Alonso earned a spot on the grid in the sprint race

Fernando Alonso will finally start from eighth position on the starting grid of the sprint race Austrian F1 GP. The Spaniard secured the position for this start due to the managers ’decision to cancel all of Pérez’s lap times in Q3 of the classification this Friday.

The Mexican driver exceeded the track limits on his last lap of Q2, but the race management did not remove his lap in time and allowed him to enter to participate in Q3, so he was injured.
