International Automobile Federation (FIA) approved this Tuesday, during the World Council meeting held in Macao, the Official calendar of the Formula E World Championship of 2026, which includes a historical appointment at the Madrid Jarama-Race circuit.
Madrid will be part of the Formula E World Cup next year after the “great success” of the official pre -Season Test last November in the Madrid layout, some evidence that, which “valued positively both of the teams and the organization, is key to combining the alliance between formula E and the Royal Automobile Club of Spain (Race),” according to its website circuit.
“We are diligently celebrating the historic arrival of formula E in Madrid. This avant -Garde competition incorporates the 2026 calendar of an iconic scenario that represents the perfect integration between the motoring of competition and innovative technology. An alliance that marks a milestone in motor sport in our country, “said the director of the Madrid Circuit, Ignacio Fernández.
Madrid test will be one of the great novels of a period of formula E occurring between December 2025 and August 2026, with a total of 18 races in 12 cities in the world, including Miami (USA), Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), São Paulo (Brazil), Mexico City and London.
Next year Madrid will also have a formula One Grand Prix in the Christmas circuit.
