The Slovenian Tadej Pogacarwho ascended the podium of Tour de France in Paris to win the white jersey for the best young man, he assured that although he sought the yellow, he feels “proud” of his performance.
“This jersey was not the goal, but in the end I’m happy with the way the Tour progressed. I’m proud to be second and the victories I achieved,” said uae cyclist, winner of the last two editions.
The Slovenian indicated that he realizes the importance of his performance in the race.
“When we are children, we all dream of one day being on the Tour, of being professionals. The fact of being here is something incredible, especially if you are Slovenian and if you are second in top it”, commented the runner.
“I’ve won twice, I’ll fight to do it again, but I think it’s a good time to enjoy it,” he added.
