This Sunday was not a good day for Novak Djokovic. The Serbian lost in the Wimbledon final to a massive Carlos Alcaraz, depriving him of winning what would have been his third straight Grand Slam and the 24th of his career.
In addition, he said goodbye to the possibility of regaining ATP number 1which will remain in the hands of Alcaraz, who now has a difference of almost 900 points.
But that was not the reason for her tears.but the last question they asked him was in his speech after the game.
“What would you tell your children today?” asked the master of ceremonies, some words that ‘broke’ the Serbian champion, who could hardly speak a word. With tears in his eyes, the Serb replied: “I love you and thank you for supporting me.”

Regarding the final, Djokovic said that Alcaraz deserved to win this Wimbledon. “I have to start with praise for Carlos and his team. What a quality end game, when you had to close it. You got great shots at big moments and you totally deserve it. It’s unbelievable,” he said.
“I thought I would only have problems with dirt and concrete, not grass, but this year is a completely different story. Congratulations, it’s incredible how well you’ve adapted to the surface, you’ve only played on it a few times,” he added.
“As for me, you don’t want to lose these kinds of battles, but when my feelings are settled, I have to say thank you.. I’ve won a lot of close matches in the past, like the 2019 final against Roger, so maybe if I had lost in the final I would have won here.”
