Violent attack on a pensioner in his own house in Burgenland in the clear day: When the 88-year-old opened the front door, two men with hoods attacked him with PepperSpray. When the victim was beaten, tied up and prayed on the ground, the perpetrators sought money.
A pensioner from Oberloisdorf in the Oberpullendorf district suffered a shock for life. The world was still in order when the 88-year-old came home later in the morning from his shopping and waited for his drink supplier. Every Thursday the delivery person looks reliable by the pensioner to do orders.
“Oh, he’s already there,” was the first thought to go through the landlord when he went to his door around 12.30. However, when the pensioner opened, it was already too late. Before the pensioner could have defended himself, a pepper spray was immediately sprayed in the face.
Fear of death
Then two men went on the single man with a hood and struck him with violence. The 88-year-old, who collapsed, was tied up and pinched. In the anteroom, the criminals left the wounded victim helpless on the floor.
The 88-year-old had to struggle after the unscrupulous intruders flashed throughout his house. Apparently the perpetrators were looking for cash, jewelry and other treasures.
Supplier found victim
It was only around 2.30 pm. That the drink supplier actually appeared with his client in Oberloisdorf. The delivery person reacted shocked when he found the brutally beaten pensioner in the anteroom of the house. “The victim could not have free himself,” said it after the rescue operation.
The emergency services alerted by the supplier were quickly on site, but the masked criminals were already over all mountains. How much was stolen is still unclear.
Wounded in the hospital
The wounded victim was taken to the hospital and could not be heard immediately. Until the evenings, special officers searched for traces that could provide relevant information in the sensitive case. The research is in full swing.
