More than 14.2 million people (31.1%) followed the 2022 Tour on RTVE television

The Tour de France 2022which ended on Sunday July 24 with the victory of jonas vingegaard and the traditional arrival at Champs Elysées in Pariscombined 14,204,000 viewers (31.1% of the population) pending at some point the broadcasts on La 1 and Telesport.

In La 1, with 11 episodes partially broadcast (from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm approximately), it achieved an average of 1,143,000 viewers and an 11.6% share, representing an increase of 5 tenths compared to in the Tour de 2021 and this is his best record in three years.

In the 22 hours broadcast on this channel, the most watched episode was on July 14, Briançon-Alpe D’Huez’, with 1,619,000 viewers and a 16.4% share.

The Teledeporte audience in 21 stages reached a 2.9% share and 267,000 viewers. This is the best number since 2020, when the average was 3.4%. The Lourdes-Autacam stage on July 21 got the best result: 542,000 viewers and a 5.3% share.

A total of 1.18 million unique visitors visited some of the contents of the Tour de France 2022 this month of July on RTVE.es. This represents a growth of 15% compared to the consumption of the 2021 Tour.

Of that figure, more than 811,000 connected to one of the live signals offered on RTVE Play, 2% more than the previous edition.

Stage 14, which started at Saint Etienne, becomes the most watched live on RTVE Play with 178,400 viewers.

In this edition there was an amazing growth in the consumption of video on-demand, seen by more than 430,000 unique visitors, the highest VOD consumption of the Tour to date, which is 178% more than in 2021 and also doubled right the 2020 data.

156,000 visitors followed the news about the Tour in this edition, which also improved the data of the two previous editions.
