Dynamo Kyiv feat and Olympiacos hits

Dinamo Kyiv, in its second official match since the start of the Russian invasion, eliminated Fenerbahçe (1-2) in Istanbul in the second round of the Champions League thanks to a goal from Karavaev in extra time. After the first leg was 0-0 in Lodz (Poland), Buyalskiy put the Ukrainians ahead (57′) and Szalai equalized at the extremis (89′) to force extra time.

Olympiacos was the cross when it was overwhelmed by Maccabi Haifa (0-4) and was eliminated in its Karaiskakis stadium. After drawing 1-1 with Israel, the Greeks hit it hard in the second leg. A double from Pierrot and goals from Abu Fani and Chery doomed the Greek team, out of the Champions League at the previous stage and this time they are out of the group stage.

Malmö, also removed

Swedish Malmö, which last season was framed in the league by Juventus and Chelsea, was also knocked out by losing again (0-2) against Lithuanian Zalgiris after doing so in the first leg (1-0).

Eight goals from Bodo/Glimt

On the other hand, Norwegian Bodo/Glimt, one of the entertainers of the last edition of the Conference League, paid tribute this Wednesday against Linfield of Northern Ireland (8-0) and qualified for the third stage of the qualifying round.

Last season, Bodo/Glimt showed their strength after embarrassing Conference League champions José Mourinho in Rome. In the group stage he flashed the colors for the Italian team in a resounding 6-1 victory over Norway. In the second leg, they started with a tie as a guest (2-2) and, already matched in the quarterfinals, they won again 2-1 in the first leg and, finally, lost 4-0 in Rome.

Now, the team led by Kjetil Knutsen also seems determined to revive the Champions League. This Wednesday, they took another step to reach the group stage and will face Zalgiri in the third round.

Only four games separate Bodo/Glimt from a historic prize: they have never participated in the old European Cup or in the group stage of the Champions League. The team that put Mourinho on the ropes last year is chasing his dream.
