At the European Championships in Berlin 2018, Spain won 10 medals including the golds of María Pérez (20 km walk) and Álvaro Martín (20 km walk); the silvers of Diego García Carrera (20 km walk), Fernando Carro (3,000m obstacles) and the men’s marathon team with Camilo Santiago, Iraitz Arrospide, Javier Guerra, Jesús España and Pedro Nimo; the bronzes of Ana Peleteiro (triple jump), Júlia Takács (50 km walk), Orlando Ortega (110 hurdles), the 4×400 relay with Lucas Búa, Samuel García, Bruno Hortelano and Oscar Husillos, and the women’s marathon team with Azucena Díaz, Marta Galimany, Trihas Gebre, Elena Loyo, Clara Simal.

In Munich they will play together, from 11 to 21 August, nine Europeans with the participation of 4,700 athletes who will fight for 531 medals at stake -177 gold-. Athletics, beach volleyball, canoeing, rowing, cycling, artistic gymnastics, climbing, table tennis and triathlon go hand in hand in the Bavarian capital. For its part, the European Swimming Championships will coincide with the same dates (from August 11 to 21) but will be held separately in Rome.
