‘Top Gun: Maverick’ It’s on everyone’s lips, and it’s not for less. The American film, from successful film director Joseph Kosinski, continues to reap big numbers at the box office. In fact, that movie has raised $662.5 millionwhich surpassed even the tape ‘Titanic’, which achieved 659.36 million in 1997.
The film is of great quality, with Tom Cruise as the main protagonist, but who will soon have the presence of the seven-time Formula 1 world champion: Lewis Hamilton.
Hamilton, Mercedes F1 driver, revealed in an interview with ‘Vanity Fair’ that Tom Cruise offered him a role on the ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ tape, but in the end he had to turn down the offer due to his F1 commitments.
“Tom Cruise is my real friend”, began by saying Lewis Hamilton, who confessed to being a fan of the first installment of ‘Top Gun’. “So when I heard that the second one was coming out, I was like, ‘Oh my God, I have to ask her,'” she continued.
“I said, ‘I don’t care what role it is. I’ll even sweep, I’ll clean the back,'” he continued. When the time came, Tom Cruise not only said yes, but he was even offered a role as a fighter pilot.
In the end, however, Lewis Hamilton had to turn down the offer in what he described as “the most annoying call I’ve ever had.”
