The French sebastien loeb announced this Wednesday that he is on the way out of Acropolis Rally of World Championship (WRC) from September 8 to 11 with Ford Puma for British team M-Sport.
“After ten years, again in a mythical rally: @AcropolisRally,” tweeted the 48-year-old Frenchman, who won three times in Greece, in 2005, 2008 and 2012.
In January, he won the Monte Carlo Rally, becoming the oldest WRC winner at 47 years and ten months.
After this 80th victory over his French rival Sébastien Ogier, another ‘independent’ this season, Loeb participated in tests in Portugal and Kenya, with less success: one retirement and an 8th place .
Seb will be reunited with his co-driver Isabelle Galmiche at the Acropolis Rally in Greece, the tenth round of the season.
Winner of five of the eight races already held, the Finn Kalle Rovanpera arrives with a big advantage in the next rally of the World Championship, the one in Belgium, from August 18 to 21.
