Norwegian Alexander Kristoff won the Franco-Belgian Circuit

the norwegian Alexander Kristoff (Intermarche-Wanty-Gobert) It did so Wednesday in a sprint with two other fellow breakaways including 81 Franco-Belgian Circuit (ex Eurométropole Tour), leaving from Tournai and arriving at La Louvière, over 175.2 kilometers.

The one-day trial, which was born in 1924 and which for this 2022 has regained its original name of the Franco-Belgian Circuit, was marked by the escape of four runners in La Louvière, where Kristoff was surprised, especially that, the Belgian Víctor Campenaerts (Lotto Saudal)which in April 2019 broke the time record in Aguascalientes (Mexico).

Kristoff clocked a time of 4 hours 12 minutes 3 seconds, ahead of the Belgian Dries Van Gestel (Total Energy) and the aforementioned Campenaerts, second and third, respectively.

This is Kristoff’s third victory in 2022, as he previously won the Clásica de Almería and the Belgian Scheldeprijs; He also added a stage victory at the Tour of Norway.
