Tyson Fury has decided to “walk away” from boxing, just three days after saying he was coming back to set up a fight against Derek Chisora, a Briton he had beaten twice earlier in his career.
That announcement sparked speculation that Fury, the current WBC heavyweight champion, was targeting a potential unification bout against the winner between current WBA, IBF and WBO titleholder Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua, They will meet on August 20 in Saudi Arabia.
Fury gave no reason for his apparent change of heart.. The undefeated Fury first said, following his victory over Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium in April, that he would retire from the sport.
