Historic! Brentford trailed United 4-0 at the break

Date:

The first 45 minutes of the game between Brentford and Manchester United was an unusual sight at the Gtech Community Stadium.

The local team overwhelmed Erik Ten Hag’s team and managed to reach the break with an embarrassing 4-0 on the scoreboard. The ‘bees’ killed several ‘red devils’ who were getting worse and happily hugged the passage to the changing rooms.

First it was De Gea who swallowed a shot from Dasilva that was not very strong. Eriksen then fell victim to the pressure as he conceded the second in a game where United wanted the ball away from his goal. Total disaster.

Then came Mee’s goal to confuse the Mancunian defense and make it 3-0, while Mbeumo, in a deadly counterattack, scored the fourth and final goal of a dreadful first half for Manchester United.
