The Massi-Tactic UCI Women’s Team, of TOrroella de Montgrí (Girona)achieved, by Swedish Nathalie Ecklund, the first podium of the season in the UCI category. The runner of Costa Brava obtained the third individual position of the general classification in La Picto–Charentaise (1.2)a 119 km race in between Poitiers and Châtellerault (France) argued last Sunday, August 14. The day before, the women from Girona ran La Périgord Ladies (1.2)120 km apart Sarliac-sur-Isle and Boulazac-Isle-Manoireas well as in the French countries.
In La Picto – Charentaise, Eklund took the podium in a closely fought race to the finish line and joined fifty riders in the sprint. The Swedish have already secured the victory in the Back to Portugal, last June. Before La Picto, Massi-Tactic played La Périgord Ladies, where Maaike Colje and Aurela Nerlo they finished in 14th and 16th place, respectively. Over the weekend, they also ran two trials Corinna Lechner, Andrea Ramirez and Myriam Núñez.

Fourth year of life within a club founded in 1990
Massi-Tactic, the first women’s team of the Baix Ter Cycling Club, continues under the direction of Manel Gonzalo and Àngel González and competes as a continental team for the fourth season. It is the only female Catalan team competing in the world elite. The season will last until September and they will compete in around thirty national and international races, several UCI WorldTours, through Italy, Belgium, France, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and throughout Spain. Last season, as a team of the UCI Continental category, they participated in the trials of the highest division, World Tour, where they faced off against the best teams in the world, added podiums in international races in Europe and were proclaimed team and individual champions of the Spanish Cup and Catalan Cup.
