The growth of tourism linked to the caravanning world is not stopping, with a total of 8,575 motorhomes and motorhomes registered in 2021, according to data from the Spanish Association of Caravanning Industry and Trade (ASEICAR). This represents a 7% increase, despite it being a year marked by the semiconductor crisis and the effects of the pandemic. As a whole, the state world market has grown by 5.7%, according to the Association.

Jose Manuel Juradopresident of ASEICAR, believes that “caravaning is an emerging sector, as our country is undergoing an image wash, where it is no longer seen
as low level tourism become popular and valued as a form of disconnection and liberation in nature». In addition, he assures that “the pandemic has benefited the sector in a way as we have been able to reach more people considering this tourism.”

So far, the forecasts for this year 2022 of growth have come true. Looking ahead to 2023, there will still be demand, but it will not be fully covered yet. Thus, caravanning is consolidated as a profitable business that has grown by more than 30% in recent years, according to ASEICAR.

Among the benefits that caravan tourism offers travelers, most emphasize independence and freedom. Being able to move without restriction is an incentive that is much appreciated. In addition, the advantages of traveling in a motorhome or motorhome are that you can set your own schedules at all times, something that more traditional tourism lacks. The flexibility of
making plans according to the preferences at any time is a point that plays strongly in favor of this tourism, which allows you to continuously enjoy idyllic landscapes.
