Next Sunday, October 2, the Paseo Central and Acera de Recoletos will be open again
a living museum of automotive history in a new designation of the Valladolid Motor Vintage.
It is a massive gathering, with nearly five hundred vehicles and more than fifteen thousand spectators, in previous editions, enjoying a sunny Sunday, with free entry across the board, mingling with car addicted fans, young and older with attractive vehicles and good music from the past decades. A tasty and spicy menu to taste in a Valladolid that, yesterday and today, is a city of the car, that car that has brought life and communication between cities and ultimately between people. And it is yesterday that the VMV wants to revive several hours in front of the eyes of adults and children, turning
Zorr’s Squareilla, the Paseo Central del Campo Grande and the Acera de Recoletos, in an immense display case to admire, compare, learn or discuss.
And give in to the pleasure of seeing vehicles from very different eras, brands, genres, prestigious or more modest models, with two or four and even six wheels. During the eight editions we have seen copies of very different brands, from Hispano Suiza, Buick, Delage, Jaguar, Aurburn, Lotus, MG, Mercedes, Ferrari, Morris, Simca, Seat, Peugeot, Renault, Volkswagen, Willys Jeep… And also on two wheels, BSA, Harley-Davidson, Motobécane, Terrot, Triumph… without forgetting the Vespa or Lambretta scooters, nor the tractors or trucks, which always arouse admiration and recognition from fans and organizers who know that moving of one of these vehicles is not an easy task.
Participation in the VMV is a clear way to show the social and cultural aspect associated with the interest in classic and vintage vehicles. Today, more than ever, governance and society in general need to be made aware of the importance of this
Historical Heritage. For this reason, it is also important that the participants respect all behavioral guidelines from the organization and avoid actions that damage the image of the meeting and of the rest of the participants.
Vintage and classic vehicles tell a story, arouse sympathy. In a world
harder every timethese vehicles are one of those bastions of freedom, through which very different people can come closer, get to know each other.
