Hyundai promises up to 614 kilometers of autonomy for the Ioniq 6

Date:

The new model will go on sale in select European markets later this year.

Hyundai Motor Company has announced a range of 617 bilge per charge for its new model, the IONIQ 6, according to its test procedure.
vGlobally Harmonized Light Vehicles (WLTP). The small battery version has a power consumption of 13.9 kWh/100 km, making this car one of the most efficient electric vehicles (EVs) on the market when it comes to select European markets early next year.

This performance by
full electric range made possible in large part by Hyundai Motor Group’s EV-specific architecture, the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) and the ultra-low wind resistance of the Electrified Streamliner.

E-GMP offers optimum electrical performance and provides ultra-fast 800V charging with a range of up to 351 kilometers in just 15 minutes, or 10-80% in approximately 18 minutes, and supports 400V charging without the need for additional components or adapters to be.

The IONIQ 6 benefits from:
hethe benefits of E-GMP to offer an industry-leading 2,950mm wheelbase to better meet passenger needs.

With E-GMP, the IONIQ 6 can be a workstation or a portable power bank on wheels thanks to the innovative Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology. This allows the model to charge electrical appliances, such as camping gear, to
new usage scenarios that suit different lifestyles.

Electricity consumption for Hyundai IONIQ 6 53 kWh with 2WD in kWh/100 km: 13.9; combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 0 (WLTP). Electric consumption for IONIQ 6 77.4 kWh (18″ alloy wheels) with 2WD in kWh/100 km: 14.3; combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 0 (WLTP). Electric consumption for IONIQ 6 77.4 kWh (20″ alloy wheels) with 4×4 drive in kWh/100 km: 16.9; combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 0 (WLTP)

Hyundai Motor has maximized the range of the IONIQ 6 through extensive engineering and aerodynamic design. the coefficient of
aerodynamic drag of the vehicle, at 0.21 is the lowest in the range and one of the lowest in the industry.

The streamlined look of IONIQ 6 and the various design elements, such as the active air deflector,
integrated rear spoiler and reduced wheel arches have significantly improved the model’s aerodynamic performance, making it one of the most elegant and efficient vehicles in the world.

In particular, the smaller wheel arches minimize the empty space between the front bumper and the tires to improve aerodynamic performance around the wheel arches.

Applied for the first time in a Hyundai model, it allows for the
Electrified Streamliner of the company improves passenger comfort while overcoming the aerodynamic challenges posed by the short front overhang.
