GT line of 204 horses, in addition to a 7 year or 150,000 km warranty. diesel.

In addition, the inclusion of a sporty GT-line version for the first time, powered by a 204 hp petrol engine, provides an almost sporty driving experience.

Kia introduces the new XCeed with a wide range of electric powertrain options. The XCeed Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) offers an electric range of up to 48 kilometers, which equates to 60 kilometers of urban traffic. High-revving turbocharged engines to innovative mild-hybrid electric hybrid systems are also available.

As a sporty alternative to larger models, the XCeed has become the bestseller in the Ceed range. It offers the driving position and comfort of an SUV, with the dynamic response and agility of a compact commercial vehicle. The new Kia XCeed features new LED headlights on a revised grille, a distinctive front bumper and an innovative air intake design. By integrating the fog lamps into the main lamps, the designers have been able to fit air deflectors on both sides. This reduces air resistance and improves fuel economy. The new XCeed is fitted with 18-inch diameter alloy wheels.

While the wheelbase (2.65 metres) remains the same as other Ceed models, the XCeed’s overhangs have been extended by 25mm at the front (to 905mm) and 60mm at the front compared to the five-door sedan. up to 840mm). The only body panels that remain the same as the Ceed hatchback are the front doors.

Inside, the center console of the new Kia XCeed is slightly angled towards the driver. With an impressive seat height and greater ground clearance than a conventional passenger car, the XCeed offers drivers a driving position that offers a better view of the road. A touchscreen information system separates from the dash, while below is a series of touch-sensitive buttons, dials and switches to control audio volume and climate control. The new Kia XCeed is introduced with new graphics on the 12.3-inch (31 cm) digital instruments, which can be linked to the vehicle’s driving modes.

With an overall length of 4.39 metres, the new Kia XCeed offers generous interior space for front and rear occupants. With up to 44mm higher hip height in each seat, compared to the Ceed five-door, drivers have a higher driving position and easier entry and exit. The luggage compartment of the is 426 liters; with the rear seats folded, it grows to 1,378 litres. Versatility is also assured thanks to the 40:20:40 folding rear seats, the intelligent electrically height-adjustable tailgate and the two-stage boot floor.

The updated line-up of the new Kia XCeed offers three turbocharged petrol engines with direct injection: a 1.0-litre three-cylinder T-GDi that delivers 120 hp; a 1.5-litre four-cylinder T-GDi that produces 160 horsepower; and a 1.6-litre T-GDi high-output unit, available for the sportier XCeed variant. This latest version produces 204 hp over a wide rev range and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.5 seconds when fitted with the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The new XCeed is also available with a 1.6 liter diesel engine with mild hybrid system (MHEV) and combined with a six-speed manual transmission for an output of 136 hp. The MHEV system supplements the thermal motor with energy from a compact 48-volt battery, which reduces CO2 emissions and fuel consumption by up to 10%.

The XCeed can also be equipped with the Intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT) with purely electronic instead of hydraulic steering. This system uses the mild hybrid starter/generator (MHSG) and can stop the engine while the vehicle coasts to a stop. In the ‘Eco’ driving mode it is also possible to switch off the engine for short periods and to coast at speeds up to 125 km/h. It restarts imperceptibly when the driver presses the accelerator, brake or clutch.

The new XCeed also features a highly efficient plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain, comprising an 8.9 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery, a 44.5 kW electric motor and a GDI petrol engine, four-cylinder and 1.6-litre displacement. In combination with a six-speed dual clutch transmission (6DCT), the PHEV system delivers up to 141 hp and 265 Nm of torque to the front wheels. The 1.6-litre XCeed plug-in hybrid model is only available with the six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The new XCeed includes a wide range of active safety and driver assistance technologies, including GPS-based intelligent cruise control; a further development of the system is the curve function, which uses navigation data to predict a coming curve; if it was necessary to take it safely, the speed would be reduced; after exiting the curve, it would automatically return to the preset speed.

Other active safety systems include Rear Vision Blind Spot Detection, which works in conjunction with Blind Spot Collision Alert; Using sensors in the rear bumper, the system adds preventive measures in the event of a lane shift when another vehicle is in the driver’s blind spot; Together with audible and visual warnings, the system applies braking pressure to the wheels on the other side of the car, guiding it back to its original lane.

Other safety features of the new XCeed include emergency braking assistance in the event of a potential frontal collision with pedestrian recognition, Lane Keeping Assist and Lane Keeping Assist.
