The Real Madrid squad is switching to electric cars

The players travel in powerful, durable and innovative BMW iX or BMW i4 models from the German brand’s 100% electric range

All football and basketball players from Real Madrid’s first division and all players from the first women’s football team, as well as their respective coaches, have already received their new 100% electric vehicles from BMW, in a commitment by the club to make its entire fleet fully electric.

The players of the three teams travel in the BMW iX or in the BMW i4,
two powerful models, sustainable and innovative from BMW’s 100% electric range; All of these have already been delivered to the Real Madrid Sports City, including the coaches and the presidency, in the latter case the new BMW i7 will be the official car, when it hits the market in December.

The BMW iX is one of the most technological and sustainable cars of the brand thanks to the extensive use of secondary raw materials, natural and recycled materials; high proportion of recycled aluminum and plastic.

The use of chromium has been eliminated, FSC certified wood, leather tanned with extract of
olive leaf, carpeting and mats made with, among other things, recycled fishing nets. Available with two motors (xDrive40 and xDrive50) with a power of 240 to 385 kW and an autonomy of 435 to 632 kilometers.

For his part,
with the i4, the motorization chosen has been the M50, the most efficient of BMW M GmbH, which has 2 electric motors developing a power of 400 kW. It has focused on dynamism, precision and aesthetics, without neglecting electrification, highlighting its acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds.

The first BMW i7 is
the technological showcase of the brand, focused on comfort, sustainability and exclusivity with 100% electric mobility, available for the first time in the BMW 7 Series. It will be on the market in December and is the seventh generation of the BMW 7 Series, which, among other things, will launch an unprecedented infotainment system with a 31.3-inch rear screen in 32:9 format and 8K resolution.

Although at the beginning of this collaboration between both entities, the players and coaches of the respective teams received the models
