The Austral is a fundamental part of Renault’s strategy to return to the top positions in the sales ranking. It involves a frontal attack on one of the most controversial segments, that of the C-SUV.
For the Austral you can choose from two different engines, each with two powers.
The mild hybrid is available in 140 and 160 hp, with a 1.3-liter engine manufactured in collaboration with Daimler. The less powerful version is the only one available with a manual gearbox.
Instead, E-Tech hybrids can choose between 160 or 200 horsepower. These engines are
1.2 liter three-cylinderbut they are linked to a 400 volt electrical system and a 2 kWh battery.

The Austral range has three trim levels: balance, techno and iconic. The two upper floors can be configured with a very special finish: esprit Alpine. The latter, introduced for the first time in the brand, inherits the
Alpine Brand Sport DNA to reflect it with a unique design. Esprit Alpine versions enhance the appeal of the Nuevo Austral with its front bumper with satin gray sport foil, 20″ Daytona alloy wheels, gloss black window frames, 3D effect taillights, Alcantara fabric upholstery with blue stitching and its nappa leather steering wheel with blue, white and red stitching.

The new Austral debuts with the “4CONTROL Advanced” system, the third generation of Renault’s four-wheel steering system, which has been continuously improved for 15 years.
Inside they stand out
some quality finisheswith brushed aluminum and two large 12-inch touchscreens give it a distinguished and avant-garde look without losing sight of functionality.
Special mention has the connectivity of the vehicle, as it contains the operating system of
integrated Android Auto in the car, so there is no need to connect the phone, just log in to the Google account to access applications such as Spotify, Waze or Google Maps.
The prices of the Austral start from the
€30,900 for the mild-hybrid access version and reach up to 43,600 for the E-Tech with the Esprit Alpine sport trim.
