This curious photo was taken on November 6 on the AP-7 highway. A driver drove into one
black Pontiac like the famous Kitt from the TV series “Fantastic Car”. The vehicle was headed for a concentration of vintage cars.
At the exit of Santa Perpetua de Mogoda, near Barcelona, the Mossos stopped the car during a routine check. The Catalan police posted the image on its official Instagram account.
«During a check in the AP7, we stopped this vehicle that seems to come from the 80s series. The fantastic car. We asked for the documentation, but to our disappointment it was neither KITT nor was it piloted by Michael Knight,” they explain in the publication.
The car model used in the series to embody KITT was a
Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am V8. Produced by Glen A. Larson, the series was a milestone for teens and tweens of the time and propelled Hasselhoff to stardom.
The name KITT has a meaning: it is short for Knight Industries Two Thousand, the fictional company responsible for developing the fantastic car used by Michael Night to bring justice to the world.
