With these results, Hyundai ended the year in third place in the world market. In addition, according to Leopoldo Satrústegui, general manager of Hyundai Spain, the Tucson has been crowned
the best-selling model in the Spanish market with 21,985 units. Total sales have risen to 59,503 registered vehicles and the dealer network has closed 2022 with a 3% profitability. Hyundai Motor increased its sales in Spain in 2022 by 21.4% compared to the previous year, to 1,131 million euros.

Satrústegui explained that the cars they sold in 2022 were generally high equipment and the average price was between 25,000 and 26,000 euros. Hyundai’s general manager was keen to underline these results
the economic situation in the world, and in a market that is down about 5.4% in Spain. “Ending the year of our 30th anniversary celebrations with these historic achievements could not make us prouder as we have overcome a complicated socio-economic situation and with high inflation data, with a worrying international situation and continuing the problem of electronic components , although gradually improving.

Hyundai’s goal for this year
is to improve its sales by 4.2%, to about 62,000 vehicles, and that revenues are up 6% to 7%. Forecasts suggest that the Spanish passenger car market will grow by 14.5% in 2023, mainly due to the increase in the rental channel, which will grow by almost 93%.

Satrústegui acknowledges that Spain is significantly behind in electrification. According to the manager, to achieve figures comparable to the European average, it is necessary to improve the current incentive plans “since the current Moves can be improved”. In this sense, it is committed to helping electric cars “be
exempt from income tax, and that the discount is obtained at the time of purchase, so that the beneficiary does not have to wait almost a year“. He also stressed the need to develop public charging infrastructure and simplify bureaucratic procedures “because currently a year has passed from the moment you assemble a charger or request the installation of a charger until you get all the permits,” explains the manager out.

Being one of the main novelties for this year
the launch of the Ioniq 6 modelwhich will be launched in Spain between the end of this month and February, and the new generation of the
