The DS 3 will lose its Crossback surname in 2023 and grow in design and technology. Right away
starting price of 28,950 euros, the new model is now characterized by its new, more efficient and aerodynamic front end. Highlights include new LED headlights, a new bumper and a redesigned grille. And at the rear, the lights and tailgate are discreetly accentuated by a black-lacquered bead on which the signature ‘DS AUTOMOBILES’ appears using an unprecedented technology: the polished stainless steel lettering is individually cut and embedded in the embellishment.

The driving position evolves with the adoption of a new steering wheel that regroups the controls for the driver aids and the buttons for the information and entertainment equipment and is accompanied by paddle shifters in the automatic gearboxes.

He also drives one
new infotainment system with a large 10.3-inch high-definition center screen. Connected navigation and intelligent speech recognition are integrated into the DS Iris system. The special feature of this system is the possibility for the user to personalize the central screen and the 7-inch instrument panel, complemented by a head-up display that projects the most important information in the driver’s field of vision. The central screen is divided into 12 sections and can accommodate variable-sized widgets.

For its part, the instrumentation is divided into two different areas that are also customizable. At the same time, the functions can be managed via an advanced speech recognition system or via the sensitive controls on the center console. The implementation of the functions has been revised to improve ergonomics and integrate the specifics of the DS Iris system.

Visible on the large central screen, Visio Park 2 extends the range of driver aids available in the new DS 3 by providing parking assistance with 360-degree views generated by new high-resolution digital cameras.

Fitted as standard with a camera behind the windscreen, it also includes high-level driver aids as standard: active lane keeping assistance, speed sign reading with information transfer to the instrument panel and automatic emergency braking up to 85 km/h.

Also mark the door handles, flush. This exclusive technology preserves the purity of the design, gives the silhouette an avant-garde touch and optimizes aerodynamic efficiency. The hands appear when users need them and remain flush with the body at all other times, whether the car is stationary or moving. In addition, with its hands-free access and start system (Hands-free Proximity Access), it is enough to approach the car (from 1.5 meters) to open it and the four handles appear automatically. When the user leaves, he returns to his position and the vehicle closes automatically.

It is available with two petrol engines of 100 and 130 hp, a 130 diesel and the 100% electric E-Tense version. The latter will receive a completely new electric machine, a reducer and a new battery to increase both power and autonomy. Now it is 156 horsepower and can travel more than 500 km in urban areas.

As standard, the on-board charger can charge 100 kW DC (0 to 80% in 25 minutes) and 11 kW AC (0 to 100% in 5 hours).
