The GSe (Grand Sport Electric) range debuts with the Opel Astra GSe with 225 hp and the Opel Grandland GSe with all-wheel drive and 300 hp

The letters GSe appeal to the imagination of car enthusiasts. Its historical significance is that of Grand Sport Einspritzung (Grand Sport Injection). Under these abbreviations, Opel distinguished the most sporty versions with the highest performance in its range. Today, the historical acronym GSe revolves around this
bet the fun of the car to a new era: that of the energy transition. With its new meaning of Grand Sport Electric, it pays homage to an impressive legacy and translates it into today’s car, equipped with electrified technologies designed to be enjoyed behind the wheel.

The new Opel GSe range is reaching our roads
two plug-in hybrid alternatives full of sporty details, such as the design of the bumpers and the rear diffuser, offering powers up to 300 hp and high-quality equipment.

The steering and chassis of the new Opel Astra GSe and Opel Grandland GSe have a
exclusive sports calibration developed at Opel’s technical center in Rüsselsheim. The specific suspension, for its part, is from the famous manufacturer KONI, with FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) technology, to combine the best compromise between comfort and dynamics, allowing different damping characteristics for precise handling and high comfort depending on the of the situation.

In addition, they have signature design elements, exclusive alloy wheels with black diamond paint and AGR-certified GSe Performance seats, so you
devouring miles is no problem.

With a maximum combined power of 225 hp, delivered by a 180 hp 1.6-litre petrol engine and an electric motor capable of delivering up to 110 hp, the new Opel Astra GSe is a benchmark in its category. It accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. It can reach a maximum speed of 235 km/h. In addition, thanks to its lithium-ion battery of 12.4 kWh, it can travel up to 64 kilometers in zero-emission mode, allowing free access to the center of major cities.

The new Opel Grandland GSe goes further in terms of benefits. It combines the power of a turbo petrol engine with a displacement of 1.6 liters and 200 hp and two electric motors, one on each axle. The electric motor of the front axle delivers up to 110 hp, that of the rear axle up to 113 hp. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.1 seconds and, like the Astra GSe, can reach a top speed of 235 km/h (135 km/h in pure electric mode). With its 14.6 kWh lithium-ion battery, the Grandland GSe drives up to 63 kilometers electrically.
