The DS4 has petrol, diesel and also a plug-in hybrid variant. The latter, named E-TENSE 225, inherits the experience of the DS brand in competition with its titles won in the Formula E Championship in 2019 and 2020. Another novelty is the Active Scan Suspension system, which uses a camera positioned at the top of the windscreen to visualize and anticipate unevenness in the road surface and transmit the data to a computer. Based on the feedback it receives, it stiffens or softens the suspension as needed. The result is more comfort, whatever the road conditions.
DS Night Vision is another new technology included in the DS4. The system makes the road and its dangers more visible. An infrared camera, located on the grille, detects pedestrians and animals up to 150 meters away at night and in low light conditions. The driver sees the dangers of the road on his digital panel.
