During transport on the A7 in Upper Austria, two cattle apparently moved back and forth too much. The 39-year-old driver then lost control of his vehicle combination.
A trailer loaded with two cattle overturned on Wednesday afternoon on the Mühlkreisautobahn (A7) near Engerwitzdorf (Urfahr district). Apparently the cows had moved so much that the swinging trailer hit the concrete crash barriers. According to the police, the 39-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle combination, which then ended up with the trailer overturned on the roadway.
Cows provided with fresh air
A vet who happened to see this groomed and stunned the cattle. The professional fire brigade of Linz rescued the trailer and freed the cows. The driver and his two daughters who were traveling with him were unharmed. Due to the blistering heat, the fire service provided the cattle with fresh air during the rescue operation with the help of an electric fan. The rescued animals were then loaded onto a cattle truck. and removed from the scene of the accident.
