During the conversations with Guterres, special attention was paid to “nuclear pressure on Russia in the Zaporizhia -core center,” said a statement from the presidential office. The United Nations must guarantee the safety of this strategic object with demilitarization and the withdrawal of Russian troops.

The Ukrainian president is also on demilituishing the nuclear power plant in Saborischschja occupied by Russian troops. Russia, however, threatened to close the reactors of the largest nuclear power plant in Europe. The warring parties are responsible for the continuous shelling of the system. Russian troops have occupied the power plant since March, but it is still managed by Ukrainian technicians.
